AAPI Health Fair

In the commitment of serving Cleveland’s Asian American Pacific Islander community, the Asian Pacific American medical Student Association (APAMSA) at CWRU School of Medicine, Cleveland Asiatown and PNAO have partnered to put on the AAPI Health Fair in Cleveland Asiatown. PNAO will be on site to perform glucose/cholesterol screenings, hands on CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) training.

Alzheimer's Walk

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.

While there is no fee to register for Walk, all participants are encouraged to raise critical funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support and advance research toward methods of prevention, treatment and, ultimately, a cure.

Entry at 7:30 a.m.
Ceremony at 8:45 a.m.
Walk at 9:00 a.m.

Connect with MetroHealth’s womens’ health experts and receive free health screenings (blood pressure, body mass index, cholesterol, complete blood count, hemoglobin A1c for diabetes, hepatitis B&C, pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections and sickle cell). Find the PNAO table for health screens as well as introduction to hands on CPR and how to use automated external defibrillator.

APPO Medical Mission

Association of Philippine-American Physicians in Ohio (APPO) is back from a temporary hiatus due to COVID and is planning a medical mission and non-medical humanitarian project with their partner Gawad Kalinga! Physicians, NPs, dentists, podiatrists and nurses are being called to provide services in an adult and pediatric medical clinic. They will also be providing minor surgeries with local anesthesia only. For the humanitarian projects, Mission participants will be working with Gawad Kalinga and the City of Talisay to help 140 families displaced by natural disasters.

Location: Talisay, Philippines (Province Batangas) ~ 2 hours drive from the city of Manila

Homeless Standown

A one-day event providing essential goods and services to those experiencing homelessness in our community. 

Stand Down is a military term for a secure base camp where battle-weary soldiers were provided with beds, showers, clean clothes, warm meals, medical care, and letters from home. 

Today, the Homeless Stand Down provides people experiencing homelessness, many of whom are veterans, with necessary resources, respite from the elements, and reconnection to the community.
